Young Nottingham Forest striker Ben Brereton signed a new contract with the club, but is still interesting Arsenal.

  • Brereton is a highly promising striker playing for Nottingham Forest
  • Arsenal, amongst others, have watched him regularly
  • He’s signed a new contract with Forest, but interest remains

Brereton has been watched by several Premier League clubs, most notably Arsenal, as he impressed for Forest’s youth sides.

There was doubt over his Forest future, but he eventually penned a new contract with the club.

The contract will enable Forest to dictate terms for the striker, who is still attracting interest from the Premier League.

Brereton is said to be very mature for his age and has a mindset that will carry him far in the game.

He will represent the England U19s at the U19 European Championships in July.

Who Arsenal will sign at U23 and U18 level is a mystery at the moment, with a new Head of Youth Development still to be hired.

Still, expect Brereton’s name to come up a lot next season, especially if he breaks through into the Forest first team.
