West Ham’s interest in Senegalese attacker Badou N’Diaye could mean they’ve dropped interest in Arsenal Olivier Giroud.

  • West Ham planned ambitious bid to sign Giroud this summer
  • Interest in other attackers could indicate they’re not confident of signing Frenchman

West Ham were reportedly one of the clubs interested in signing Giroud and were prepared to pay whatever it took to bring him to the London Stadium. However, according to reports from Turkey, they’re now interested in signing Badou N’Diaye from Turkish side Osmanlispor.

This could indicate that they’ve moved on from the Arsenal centre-forward, either because he’s staying at the Emirates Stadium or they don’t believe it’s feasible they can convince him to make the switch.

Giroud has been linked with an Arsenal exit this summer due to a lack of playing time last season, with Ligue 1 giants Olympique Marseille and Olympique Lyonnais and West Ham keen on his signature.

With Arsenal hoping to bring in Alexandre Lacazette soon, Giroud could well leave the club. There’s been speculation that he could even be involved in the deal, as Lyon are keen on signing him.
