It appears West Ham United won’t be giving up on Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud any time soon and are ready to offer the £20m-rated striker a deal worth £130k-per-week this summer.

The Hammers were believed to have made an approach for Senegalese attacker Badou N’Diaye for £8m which could have meant they were seeking other targets due to the lack of progress in the Giroud deal. However, the Mirror reports that United aren’t giving up and have a bumper deal lined up.

In addition to paying £20m to lure the 30-year-old away from the Emirates Stadium, West Ham are planning offering him a long-term deal worth around £130k-per-week, the biggest in the club’s history. With Giroud scoring an impressive 12 goals and making three assists in 11 Premier League starts, his stock is higher than ever.

French clubs Lyon and Marseilles are reportedly keen on his signature but Arsenal are keen to keep the centre-forward at the club and he was given a four-year-deal last season from the Gunners as a result. Despite the lack of transfer progress made by West Ham, they clearly aren’t going to give up on Giroud this summer.
