West Ham have reportedly spoken with the representatives of Olivier Giroud.

  • Giroud could leave for more first team football
  • West Ham are ready to offer £20m and £100k p/w in wages
  • They will ‘match any offer’ received for Giroud

Giroud has been heavily linked with a move to West Ham in recent days amid speculation the Frenchman could leave the club this summer.

Reports suggest that West Ham have already met with Giroud’s representatives and are willing to match any offer that’s received for the striker.

They believe that the opportunity to stay in London and play regularly ahead of next summer’s World Cup could appeal to him.

Arsenal are reportedly looking for £20m, something which West Ham, with their scatter gun approach to signing strikers, would be more than willing to pay.

Ligue 1 clubs Marseille and Lyon are also interested in Giroud. There has been some talk that he could be used a make-weight in Arsenal’s attempt to sign Alexandre Lacazette.
