Bayern Munich’s Arturo Vidal has lavished praise on Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez and believes his Chilean teammate would greatly improve the Bundesliga champions.

“We’ll see if Alexis is coming. I do not know yet. I know him very well. He is a spectacular player. And with him, we would surely improve. We already have a lot of top-level players. We are the best club in the world,” said Vidal to SportBILD, reports the Metro.

Sanchez, who scored 24 goals and made 10 assists for Arsenal last season, is a transfer target for Bayern but won’t come cheap. The Gunners are looking for £50m to sell him this summer, but he will be on a free transfer the following campaign if he and Arsenal can’t agree terms on a new deal.

His wage demands to Bayern, however, are believed to be too high for the club to match so his future still remains unknown. Arsenal don’t want to sell to a fellow Premier League side and strengthen a title rival so they would be open to another approach from a suitor outside of England.
