UEFA have announced that two associations have made a bid to host the Women’s Champions League final for the 2018/19 season.

Hungary and Kazakhstan have submitted a bid. Budapest, Ferencváros Aréna and Astana, Astana Arena will be competing for the right to host the UEFA Women’s Champions League final, UEFA revealed.

The 2017/18 final will take place in Ukraine at the Valeriy Lobanoskyi Dynamo Stadium in Kiev, two days before the Men’s final. It will be the last season where the men and women finals are played in the same town as recently decided by UEFA.

Arsenal Ladies have not played in the Champions League since the 2013/14 season, where they lost in the quarter-finals to Birmingham City Ladies, and will be hoping to enter the tournament in 2018/19.

The Gunners will need to finish in the top-two places in the FA WSL in 2017/18. Defending champions Manchester City, Chelsea Ladies and Liverpool Ladies will be the main competitors for a top-two spot.
