Andrea Belotti, a reported target for Manchester United and Arsenal, will cost €100m to sign this summer, according to the Torino president.

Andrea Belotti has made 38 appearances, scoring 28 goals and has been attracting lots of interest in the last months as a result.

Rumours suggest Manchester United and Arsenal are interested in the player, but the club president of Torino, Urbano Cairo, has said that he will only let him leave for €100m.

“It is important to understand what he wants to do, regardless of the buyout clause,” Cairo said. In my opinion, he wants to continue to play for Torino. He will busy with the national team and his wedding is on Thursday and I am invited.

“I want to keep him because he has a contract until 2021. Only for 100 million (euros) will I sell him for, but he always the right to refuse to move.”

Arsenal were looking at Belotti this summer but the asking price is likely to put them off. It remains to be seen if manager Arsene Wenger will be ready to splash the cash to make a marquee signing.

Manchester United are desperate for a world-class centre-forward and are willing to pay the asking price if they believe Belotti could lead them to a Premier League title. Arsenal may turn their attentions elsewhere.
