Tony Adams at it again over Wenger with mid-table claims

Tony Adams has been back at it again with some more bizarre, unwarranted criticism of Arsene Wenger.

This time, Adams has been speaking with talkSPORT about his former club, claiming that if Arsenal lose Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez this summer, they’ll become a mid-table team.

“The league doesn’t lie,” Adams said.

“They have come fifth this year and they need extra recruits to go forward.

“Manchester City are going to get stronger, Manchester United are going to get stronger, Tottenham are going to get stronger. There are teams that are going to go past them.

“If they lose Sanchez and Ozil, I think they could be mid-table. I don’t see them improving.”

Both stars have a year left on their current deals and while it looks as if Ozil could be staying in north London, Sanchez could be set for a move to Bayern Munich.

While fans realise that it’ll be difficult if even just one of Arsenal’s best players leaves, the last thing they need is someone a lot still look up to taking digs at their team.
