Just when you thought the Mbappe saga had gone a bit quiet, it roared back into life overnight.

According to reports, PSG have announced themselves in the race by bidding £118m for the 18-year-old.

It was thought that only Arsenal and Real Madrid were the main contenders for his signature, with a number of other clubs yet to make offers.

But it now seems as if PSG will offer serious competition.

Arsenal will be going up against two extremely wealthy clubs and the price escalating it’s hard to imagine Arsenal being able to keep up.

Wenger is said to be willing to pay whatever it takes, but this will be a real test of that resolve.

Mbappe is currently away on holiday and will make a decision about his future when he returns.
