Ray Parlour has echoed the sentiments of most Gooners by insisting that Arsenal pay Alexis Sanchez whatever he wants.

With just one year left on his current Arsenal deal and Bayern Munich reportedly knocking on Arsene Wenger’s hypothetical door, holding onto Alexis this summer will be difficult.
Arsenal legend, Ray Parlour, believes that the club needs to do everything it can to keep the forward, including paying him whatever he desires.
“The club have got to make it an issue now, give the players the wages they want,” Parlour said on Talksport.
“They’ve got to step up now.
“They’ve come fifth in the league this year, which we know is not good enough for Arsenal’s standards. They won a trophy in the FA Cup. The manager has been sorted out, that’s on the backburner, now the [future of the] players is the most important [issue].
“If you want to compete with the likes of [Manchester] City, Chelsea, [Manchester] United, whoever it’s going to be next year, then you’ve got to keep your best players.
“I would say to Sanchez… ‘How much do you want?’ If his agent says ‘we want £300,000-a-week’ you have to pay it I’m afraid.”
The Chilean allegedly either wants to stay at Arsenal or sign for Bayern, so if the Bundesliga giants come forward with a massive offer, it’ll be hard for Arsene Wenger to say no. Considering the other options are Chelsea and Machester City, or PSG, who Alexis isn’t keen on, Arsenal might have very little choice but to sell, no matter what Wenger says publicly.
On the other hand, if Alexis does really want to stay in north London and the only issue is getting a pay rise, as Parlour says, Arsenal should simply be able to offer him the wages he wants in order to keep him. Because if we don’t, someone else will.
