David Ospina reportedly wants to stay at Arsenal despite hinting otherwise, according to reports from Turkey which claim Fenerbahce have moved on from their quest to sign him.

A deal was reportedly all but done for the Colombian to leave Arsenal and head to Turkey but now it seems his wages, Arsenal’s fee demands and the player’s desire to remain at the club have seen Fener move on to Malaga’s keeper, Kameni who will cost €2m a year rather than Ospina’s €3m.

But, before you despair, it’s not all bad news.

Arsenal are willing to listen to offers for the keeper who has failed to make the number one shirt his own at the club despite being handed more opportunities than his performances deserved.

In other keeper news, Arsenal have been linked with a move for Stoke’s Jack Butland, but they have no intention of selling the player, at least not this summer.

Having watched Jordan Pickford move for £30m they are said to be hopeful that a good season at the Britannia will see Butland’s price rise to the stupid fee bracket too.
