Ligue 1 club Nantes have reportedly made inquiries over signing David Ospina.

New Nantes boss, Claudio Ranieri, has asked Arsenal about the availability of Ospina, despite the goalkeeper being a little too expensive for the Ligue 1 club, claim French outlet Canal+ [via Inside Futbol].

The Colombia international has made it clear that while he’s generally happy with the Gunners, he wants more consistent playing time after only featuring 14 times last season.

However, Arsenal have found selling Ospina easier said than done.

Initially, the 28-year-old appeared to be on the edge of signing for Fenerbahce, before the Turkish club pulled out because the Gunners allegedly suddenly increased the shot-stopper’s transfer fee of £3m.

Then, LA Galaxy reportedly showed an interest but nothing ever materialised.

It now being claimed that the goalkeeper would actually like to stay at in north London, contrary to what he said in interviews at the end of last season.

Ospina has two years left on his current Arsenal deal.
