AC Milan have reportedly made signing Laurent Koscielny a priority this summer.

  • Kos is one of Arsenal’s key players
  • Marseille, Manchester City, and Milan all interested
  • Only signed a new deal with Arsenal in January
  • Arsenal unlikely to sell

According to French outlet, Telefoot [via Matt Spiro], Milan have made signing Kos their ‘defensive priority’ this summer.

Despite the centre-back signing a new deal with Arsenal earlier this year, Milan are apparently targeting the 31-year-old. However, predictably, the Gunners are unlikely to sell, with Manchester City and Marseille also said to be interested.

The France international not only captained Arsenal for the vast majority of last season while Per Mertesacker was sidelined after knee surgery last summer, he was a key player for the team throughout the campaign.

Kos made 43 appearances last season and still has three years left on his current deal. Therefore, there’s no way that Arsene Wenger would allow him to leave right now.

Especially not for City.
