Manchester United reportedly remain keen on Inter Milan winger, Ivan Perisic, who’s also been linked with Chelsea and Arsenal recently.

  • Inter demanding £50m for Perisic
  • United originally bid £26m
  • Red Devils unwilling to meet fee for 28-year-old
  • Chelsea and Arsenal both been linked

United appear to be in pole position ahead of Chelsea and Arsenal to sign Perisic from Inter this summer. However, after allegedly bidding £26m and the Serie A team insisting that they have to pay £44m, it’s now being reported that Inter are demanding £50m for the 28-year-old.

The Red Devils are said to be unwilling to meet such a high transfer fee. However, according to the Independent, Perisic is a key part of Jose Mourinho’s transfer plans this summer.

Inter need the cash if they’re going to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations and while Mourinho apparently wants to get his business wrapped up by July, the Italian club might need to look at lowered their rumoured valuation if they’re actually going to sell him.

Perisic signed for Inter from Wolfsburg in 2015 for a reported €16m.

The Croatia international made 36 Serie A appearances last season, scoring 11 and assisting the same amount.

He has three years left on his current Inter deal.
