  • Manchester United and AC Milan have stepped up their interest

The Torino striker was one of the most prolific scorers in Europe last season and has several of Europe’s biggest clubs vying for his signature.

Arsenal are said to be among the Italian’s admirers as they look to improve their attack for next season.

According to the Daily Mail, though, Manchester United and AC Milan are the frontrunners for the signing are preparing bids.

The Mail claims Torino want £60m for Belotti, although other reports have said Torino will accept no less than his £86m release clause.

The price of a top striker has soared this summer, with the likes of Belotti, Everton’s Romelu Lukaku, Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette, Inter’s Mauro Icardi, Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata and Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe all commanding fees north of £60m.

With several European clubs in need of a striker, these prices are only going to increase. Arsenal will face stiff competition wherever they go.
