Lucas Perez is unhappy with the treatment from Arsene Wenger and is set to leave the club after just one season, this we know.

He joined Arsenal for £17 million from Deportivo La Coruna last summer but is set to look for a move away from the Emirates and few blame him. According to recent reports, Fenerbahce are very interested in his services and the deal is not far from being made.

Lucas made 21 appearances over four competitions for Arsenal, scoring seven goals and grabbing five assists. His performances haven’t convinced Wenger to give him more playing time as the player often started the games from the bench – when he was fit.

His agent confirmed that the player wants more playing time and has accepted the fact that he’ll need to switch clubs in order to make that happen.

Sevilla, West Ham and Everton are just some of the clubs interested in the 28-year-old striker, but the Turkish side Fenerbahce are the only one that have made any significant progress in reported talks.

The reports suggest that Fenerbahce are offering Lucas a £3 million-a-season deal.

According to Lucas’s agent, Arsenal are ready to sell the striker, but only for the right price: “We have spoken with Arsenal and we have explained that we want to leave.

“They have said that they are not going to put obstacles in the way, but they are not going to give the player away as a gift either.”

Lucas could’ve provided more for Arsenal and there remains a sense of disappointment that Arsene Wenger didn’t try to use him in a few more matches.
