Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris says he’s spoken to Monaco’s Thomas Lemar about the possibility of him joining this summer, amid rumours also linking him to Arsenal.

Lemar, 21, has risen to prominence following an impressive campaign at the Stade Louis II. The French international made 34 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring and creating 19 goals, and helped lead Monaco to the Champions League semi-finals.

An international teammate of Lloris, Lemar players alongside the Tottenham shot-stopper for France and reportedly spoke to the Spurs man about moving to White Hart Lane.

“ You are right to ask the question, but I cannot reply. The Premier League is very exciting. All the Premier League clubs have the capacity and the ability to bring the best players in the world,” he said, reports the Daily Mail.

“In France, we used to have a lot of talented players, and it’s true that the new generation are fantastic, but we need to give them time to get the right maturity.

“But as they showed (on Tuesday), they are ready to compete at the best level. Let’s see what will happen in the Premier League.,” Lloris added.
