Liverpool are reportedly set make a bid of £30m for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain this summer.

While Liverpool have been linked with the Ox pretty heavily all summer, recently, the rumours have gathered pace with the 23-year-old allegedly unhappy with his inconsistent playing time at Arsenal.

According to the Mirror, Jurgen Klopp is plotting a £30m move for the England international, despite the reports initially claiming that the Gunners are demanding £35m – £40m.

The former Dortmund manager is apparently a long-time admirer of the Ox, who has just one year left on his current deal, and would therefore love to bring him to Merseyside. However, whether Arsene Wenger would really allow a player that he’s spoken more than once about keeping at Arsenal leave for a rival seems unlikely.

story trackerThe Gunners were recently said to be about to offering the Ox a new deal, which would see his wages rise to £100k-per-week, and, considering he really hit his stride in the first team last season after remaining relatively injury-free, it would be strange to see him leave now.
