Liverpool have become the latest club to register their interest in Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe this summer.

  • Mbappe is wanted by everyone around Europe
  • Arsenal made an ambitious bid to sign the 18-year-old

The Mail are reporting that the Merseyside club have made contact with Mbappe’s representatives in hopes of convincing the 18-year-old to join Liverpool this summer.

Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal are all believed to be seriously chasing Mbappe this summer and are willing to pay over £100m to sign him. Now it seems Liverpool want to be involved as well.

Arsenal are already at a disadvantage due to not being able offer Champions League football next season. The more teams that are interested, the longer this saga will rumble on.

Real Madrid are the favourites to sign him, having the most money and pull out of all the teams interested as La Liga and Champions League defending champions.

Arsenal will be hoping that a combination of Arsene Wenger, a manager reknowned for developing young French talent, and the promise of starting as a striker will be enough to convince him. Serious investment in the Arsenal squad is expected too.
