MLS side LA Galaxy are looking to hijack David Ospina’s proposed move to Fenerbahce.

  • Ospina looked set to join Fenerbahce
  • LA Galaxy are now interested
  • Fenerbache are becoming anxious over the deal

The Colombian keeper was reportedly close to joining Turkish side Fenerbahce, but a disagreement over the fee has put the move in doubt. Arsenal are said to want more than the £3m Fenerbahce are offering.

According to Skor, this has given LA Galaxy the opportunity to swoop in and hijack the move, which has made the Turkish club worried. Ospina has said in the past that he would be open to a move to MLS too.

Fenerbahce may turn to Malaga’s Carlos Kameni if they can’t sign Ospina this summer. The increased interest in the latter has led to Arsenal to request more money.

Arsenal paid £3.5m to sign him and he’s since grown in stature as a result of playing in the Champions League and winning two FA Cups.

The 28-year-old shot-stopper is expected to leave in search for more first team football, making just 24 Premier League appearances since his 2014-move from OGC Nice.
