Arsenal defender Laurent Koscielny admitted he has “no idea” if he will join Olympique de Marseille this summer, amid reports the Ligue 1 giants are planning an ambitious approach for the Frenchman.

As reported by ESPN, Koscielny spoke to Telefoot about the rumours linking him to Marseille, the club he admitted he supported as a boy. The Ligue 1 side have lucrative funds to strengthen their squad to challenge for the title next season, but Koscielny was coy when asked about the rumours.

“ I have a contract with Arsenal, I even signed an extension last November until (June) 2020. I feel very good there. I have always said that I was a Marseille fan when I was younger. When a mythical club like Marseille contact you, it is good. But will I sign for them? I have no idea at all,” he said.

Marseille are also believed to be interested in Koscielny’s club and country teammate Olivier Giroud, but the Arsenal striker committed his future to the London club. Koscielny is a stalwart at Arsenal, having joined the club seven years ago from Lorient, has made 290 appearances for the Gunners.
