Inter Milan are planning to make an offer for Wojciech Szczesny, with Juventus yet to complete a deal for the Arsenal goalkeeper.

  • Juventus want Szczesny as the heir to Gianliugi Buffon
  • Inter hope that a year of being on the bench would put Szczesny off of Juve move
  • Szczesny plans on returning to Arsenal after his holiday

Football Italia report that Inter Milan are the latest club to show an interest in Szczesny after the keeper completed his loan spell at Roma.

Juventus were heavily linked with the Polish international as they look for a successor to the long-serving Gianluigi Buffon.

It was believed that Szczesny would be open to the move, even if he would have to sit on the bench for a year.

However, it’s since been reported that Juventus have offered less than half of Arsenal’s €15m asking price.

Inter see this as an opportunity go for the keeper and believe that director Walter Sabatini, who signed Szczesny for Roma, could have an important role in the negotiations.

Szczesny has recently downplayed speculation linking him to Juventus and is only focusing on his holiday for now.
