Despite Juventus lading the chase for Wojciech Szczesny’s signature, Inter Milan are reportedly looking to sign the Arsenal goalkeeper as there’s no official deal in place for him to move to Turin.

According to the Evening Standard, Inter manager Luciano Spalletti is very keen to renew acquaintances with the goalkeeper he managed at Roma. Juventus looked set to sign Szczesny this summer but recently had a bid rejected which opened the door for approaches elsewhere.

The 27-year-old has shone in the Italian Serie A during a two-season loan move from Arsenal. He picked up 14 clean sheets in the league for Roma and has a host of clubs in the country keen on his signature – Napoli, Inter Milan and Juventus.

His deal with Arsenal expires in 12 months and there appears to be no willingness from the Gunners to extend his stay at the Emirates. £20m will reportedly be enough to sign the Polish international this summer.

Szczesny could be one of two goalkeepers exiting Arsenal with David Ospina a target for Fenerbahce and LA Galaxy.
