RB Leipzig winger Emil Forsberg is reportedly a target for Italian Serie A giants AC Milan this summer and could snub Arsenal in favour of a £25m move to the San Siro.

According to latest reports, the 25-year-old’s agent met with Milan representatives a number of weeks ago to talk about a potential deal and quotes from Hasan Cetinkaya revealed there had been some resistance from Leipzig this summer.

The Bundesliga club are keen to keep Forsberg at the Red Bull Arena Leipzig, but the player and his agent are looking to push for a move away from Germany. Arsenal have been linked with his signature, having been seduced by the 27 goals scored and created in 30 league games last season, and could be preparing a bid this summer.

But Milan are believed to have made much more progress than the Gunners by talking to the player’s agent and having a figure of £25m in mind to bring Forsberg to Italy. However, Milan aren’t likely to match the asking price and may be locked in negotiations until the figure is brought significantly down.
