Borrusia Dortmund will attempt to sign young Arsenal winger Chris Willock on a free transfer.

  • Willock has been a stand-out performer for Arsenal’s U23 team
  • His contract runs out this summer
  • Dortmund, Manchester City and Celtic are all keen

Willock is out of contract this summer and it looks likely that Arsenal will lose him.

The winger has been a stand-out performer in the club’s youth teams and has travelled with the first team on recent pre-season tours. He’s rated as one of the brightest talents currently at the club.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Borussia Dortmund are interested in signing him, while Manchester City and Celtic have also expressed an interest in recent days.

As Willock is under the age of 21, a tribunal would be needed to determine how much compensation Arsenal will receive should Willock leave the club.

Arsenal have been without an academy director since Adries Jonker departed from the club back in March. One wonders if this situation would have happened had a new director been in place.
