Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City have reportedly cooled their interest in Arsenal’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

  • Chamberlain has been strongly liked with Liverpool as contract discussions hit stalemate
  • Chelsea and City are also interested

Chamberlain is one of several players at the club with a contract expiring in the next 12 months and has been linked with a move away, reports the Telegraph.

Liverpool have shown the most interest but that interest could cool once they complete the signing of Mohamed Salah from Roma.

Chelsea and Manchester City are also believed to be monitoring the situation, but are not actively trying to sign the 23-year-old.

There are doubts over whether Oxlade-Chamberlain would get a starting spot at any of those clubs. He’s had a frustrating career at Arsenal with unfortunately timed injuries preventing him from getting a prolonged run in the team.

The England international was used in a variety of positions without nailing down one for Arsenal last season, even operating at left wing-back in the FA Cup final.

Arsenal want to renew his contract but negotiations aren’t going quite as smoothly.
