Bayern Munich have reportedly been put off Alexis Sanchez by his massive wages demands.

Bayern have been the main team linked with Alexis so far this summer, with early reports even claiming that the Bundesliga giants were the Chilean’s preferred destination, as they could offer him both financial and footballing reassurances.

However, now, the German club have reportedly been put off due to the 28-year-old’s seemingly ever-growing wage demands, which allegedly come to over £420k-per-week (€480k), or £22m-a-year (€25m).

Bayern’s top earner, Robert Lewandowski, ‘only’ earns €15m-a-year.

If true, this means that if the Bundesliga team want to sign Alexis, they would have to smash their current wage structure.

Therefore, it stands to reason that they would be put off by that amount of money, especially considering Arsenal want £50m for the forward.

story trackerThere have been suggestions that Alexis is deliberately pricing Bayern out so that Arsenal are forced into business with Manchester City, but other reports claim that the 28-year-old is happy to stay in north London.

Arsene Wenger has always maintained that he won’t be selling Alexis this summer, even if the Chilean doesn’t extend his current deal, which runs out next year.
