Lucas Perez is on the verge of a move away from the Emirates this summer with a reported transfer fee of £13m being discussed as an acceptable figure for the Spanish forward.

According to a report in Spain, Sevilla are interested in making a formal approach for the experienced winger’s services this summer. Having finished fourth in La Liga last season, they have once again qualified for the UEFA Champions League and seem to be his best offer at present.

Valencia, Villarreal and surprisingly our Premier League counterparts Everton have also emerged as a possible destination for Perez, should he want to prove himself in England’s top flight next term.

However, it’s likely that he’ll feel inclined to return to Spain and Sevilla currently seem to be the best in option from the teams mentioned.

Provided they can give him first-team assurances, he could join as one of their first summer acquisitions following Jorge Sampaoli’s departure late last month.

Having played fewer than 1,000 minutes of senior football at Arsenal last season, the 28-year-old has grown restless and is angling to leave despite being injured for three months throughout the competitive calendar.

The possibility of a surprise inclusion in Spain’s World Cup squad for next year’s tournament in Russia is also a significant factor in Lucas’s eagerness to play more regularly where he believes he’d be able to impress enough to warrant a maiden call-up.
