Danilo Pereira is attracting interest with each passing season, but the midfielder remains at Porto with Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly looking to change that.

Porto’s backbone in the midfield, Danilo plays a key part at the Estadio Dragao and even without any spectacular attributes he is still being linked to bigger European clubs like Arsenal and Liverpool.

The Portuguese midfielder is an ever-present for Porto, making 41 appearances across all competitions, scoring four goals and adding one assist.

The Gunners reportedly hold a long interest in Danilo but there is now the possibility that the player will leave for another Premier League team. The first reports of Arsenal’s interest in the player came in January but it’s uncertain why the talks ceased.

The 25-year-old is believed to be one of the top priorities for Liverpool, with Juventus also being mentioned as a potential destination for the player.

After the January talks with Arsenal, Porto extended Danilo’s contract, and by doing so increased the release clause of the player from €40m to €60m.

The three clubs may start a bidding war in order to lure Danilo away, but that doesn’t seem likely.
