Arsenal have reportedly expressed an interest in Real Madrid’s Marco Asensio.

  • Arsene Wenger believes Asensio would compliment Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil well
  • Madrid are very unlikely to sell

According to Diario Gol, Arsenal, Liverpool and Juventus have shown an interest in the Spanish midfielder.

The 21-year-old made his breakthrough into the Madrid first team this season after spending the last couple of seasons on loan at Mallorca and Espanyol. He’s been impressive whenever he’s played, and scored against Bayern Munich and Juventus in the Champions League.

Arsene Wenger reportedly believes that Asensio would compliment the likes of Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil well in this team, while Liverpool see him as a potential replacement for Barcelona-linked Philippe Coutinho.

Asensio is arguably the most exciting talent in Spanish football and has already established himself in the Real Madrid squad. Manager Zinedine Zidane would be reluctant to let him leave as a result.

However, with such stiff competition in the Real Madrid side, the promise of regular first-team football at a European giant could turn his head.
