Arsenal have reportedly been quoted a whopping £130m for Monaco’s Kylian Mbappe.

While Arsenal were allegedly willing to spend £100m on Mbappe this summer (or £122m, depending on what you read), Monaco have now quotes the Gunners £130m, which is apparently just too high for Arsene Wenger, who, contrary to popular belief, has not suddenly discovered a money tree.

With Real Madrid reportedly ready and willing to meet this valuation, as well as sell one of their top three attacking players to provide him with game time, the Gunners seem to have gracefully bowed out of the race to sign the 18-year-old Monaco striker and are instead turning their attention elsewhere.

Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette is said to be the focus of said attention after scoring 37 goals in 45 appearances last season.

The long-term Arsenal target is said to ‘only’ cost £60m and would bring added fire-power to Wenger’s team without the club having to remortgage the Emirates to pay for him.
