Arsenal have signed a partnership with Universal Pictures, which will see them help promote several upcoming films.

  • Partnership first of its kind for Arsenal
  • Arsenal will help promote upcoming Universal films via LED perimeter board and digital channels
  • Universal gets access to Arsenal’s first team for exclusive content and promotional work

Arsenal’s new partnership with Universal Pictures will see the club help promote upcoming films, such as Despicable Me 3, and the studio receive access to first team players for interviews and other exclusive content.

A new LED perimeter board promoting new Universal movies will be introduced at the Emirates, and the film studio will also be able to use Arsenal’s digital channels as a marketing platform.

Vinai Venkatesham, the Gunners’ chief commercial officer, has pointed out how this partnership is the first of its kind for the club.

“This partnership with Illumination and Universal Pictures is the first of its kind for the club and one we are extremely excited about,” Venkatesham said.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for both the club and the studio to be introduced to new audiences and we are already working closely with them to engage with our supporters in the UK and Ireland around their upcoming film releases.”

Universal is the studio that produced some of the world’s highest grossing films, such as Jurassic World, Jurassic Park, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, Jaws, Furious 7 and Back to the Future.
