Riyad Mahrez is reportedly considering a four-year-deal from Arsenal.

  • Mahrez has reportedly given up dream move to Barcelona
  • He’s settled for Arsenal move instead
  • He’s been offered a four year deal

Ever since Mahrez announced his intention to leave Leicester a couple of weeks back, it’s all been a bit quiet. This, apparently, may have been down to Mahrez waiting for Barcelona to make an offer for him. According to Sport, he’s now given up on that ever happening.

That means he has now chosen Arsenal as his destination and would accept the four year contract that they’re reportedly offering, say the Mirror. Mahrez would cost £35m, however there’s been talk of Leicester wanting something closer to £50m.

Arsenal are expected to part company with up to nine players this summer, with a number of them being attackers. As a result, Arsene Wenger will be desperate to find stellar replacements and sees Mahrez as an ideal candidate.
