Arsenal have reportedly made a second bid for Monaco winger, Thomas Lemar.

After having a rumoured bid of almost £31m for Lemar knocked back by Monaco on Wednesday, Arsenal have apparently made another offer thought to be in the region of £35.2m (including add-ons), claim L’Equipe.

Arsene Wenger is apparently keen to add to the Gunners’ squad this summer and Lemar is high up on the manager’s wishlist.

The 21-year-old, who signed from Caen in 2015, scored 14 goals and assisted 17 for Monaco last season, and while he has just three years left on his current deal, the Ligue 1 club are reluctant to allow him to leave.

story trackerChelsea are on the brink of a £40m move for the France international’s teammate, Tiemoue Bakayoko, and Monaco said from the beginning that they were unwilling to allow both Bakayoko AND Lemar go in the same transfer window.

This means that Arsenal could be fighting a losing battle, no matter how much money they’re willing to pay for the talented winger.
