A day after news broke of interest from Arsenal on Emil Forsberg, the Leipzig winger is reported to be the subject of a £30m bid.

  • Arsenal have reportedly made bid for Swedish winger
  • Bayern Munich have also made bid
  • Forsberg had most assists in Europe last season

We reported on Wednesday that Arsenal were looking at the Bundesliga winger, but according to The Sun’s gossip column, the Gunners have now made a bid for the coveted player.

The Swede has been a star in the Bundesliga, and his 22 assists have helped Leipzig to an unlikely second place finish in their first season in the top-flight.

Such form has led to interest from Arsenal and Bayern Munich this summer, and the two clubs are ready to pay £30m to procure his signature.

RB Leipzig are reportedly holding out for £40m as they’re keen to hold on to their best players for their Champions League campaign to come next season.

But with Arsenal and Bayern so desperate to strengthen their attacking options this summer, their pressure and financial power could see Forsberg leave.
