It’s no secret Arsenal are interested in signing Barcelona’s Arda Turan, but recent reports suggest the Gunners may not be willing to meet his asking price.

According to Football Fancast, there are reports coming from Spain that suggest the 30-year-old has already agreed personal terms with Arsenal but disagreements over his valuation could prevent the deal from materialising.

El Desmarque are reporting that Barcelona are asking up to £26m for the Turkish international, a fee Arsenal aren’t ready to spend. The player’s agent also suggested Turan was happy to stay at the Camp Nou despite failing to nail down a starting place.

The former Atletico Madrid man started 14 games in La Liga last season and is believed to be frustrated at a lack of playing time. Arsenal have been linked all summer and appeared to be leading the race to sign him.

However, the reports from Spain and his representative’s quotes pour cold water on the rumour. Turan joined Barcelona for £30m, a fee the Catalans are keen to recoup if they let him go this summer. But Arsenal may be put off given his inconsistent form and advancing age.
