Turkish midfielder Arda Turan has sparked transfer speculation by sharing a picture with a Besiktas official.

The 30-year-old is expected to leave Barcelona this summer, with Arsenal and Besiktas believed to be two of his potential destinations. Turan sparked something of a social media frenzy when he shared a photo of himself and Besiktas official Emre Kocadag.

Kocadag is known for his involvement in Besiktas’ transfers. While Besiktas are clearly interested, they’re unable to pay what Barcelona want for the midfielder. Barcelona’s asking price is said to be around £26.6m.

Mundo Deportivo claim that Arsenal are interested in Turan but want Barcelona to lower their asking price. Barcelona have an interest in Hector Bellerin and are believed to have offered Turan to Arsenal as a make-weight in a possible deal.

However, going by this latest development, it seems Turan is closer to Turkey than he is to England.
