Alexis Sanchez has revealed the name of a certain Arsenal youngster who’s impressed him over the past couple of seasons.

  • Alexis believes Iwobi has ‘winning mentality’
  • 21-year-old broke into first team season before last
  • Has gone on to make 59 appearances

Since Alexis signed for Arsenal from Barcelona in 2014, he’s witnessed 21-year-old Alex Iwobi break into the first team.

While the young forward hasn’t exactly been the most consistent player, he’s now made a total of 59 appearances in all competitions since 2015/16, and, according to Alexis, has demonstrated a ‘winning mentality’.

“I really like Alex (Iwobi),” Arsenal’s player of the season said.

“He’s a player that can play up front, in the centre, he’s good at one on ones.

“If he has a winning mentality and keeps pushing forward I think he can do very well. I really like him.”

Iwobi will be over the moon with the Chilean’s praise. The 28-year-old is currently receiving attention from a number of top European clubs, including Bayern Munich, which most Special Bet Offers put him at 5/2 to join.

Therefore, while he knows he could be more composed in front of goal, he should realise he’s on the right track.

Hopefully, Alexis will be around to watch Iwobi develop even further.
