Arsenal could sign Juventus midfielder, Mario Lemina, for as little as £16m.

Valencia are apparently set to have an offer of £17.6m (€20m) knocked back by Juventus for midfielder Lemina. Not because the Serie A club wants more money but because the La Liga side wanted to take the 23-year-old on loan for a season first, which Juve weren’t interested in.

Arsenal and Watford are still in the running to sign the Gabon international, who Italian outlet, Tuttosport, claims could go for somewhere between £16m (€18m) and £17.6m (€20m) this summer.

Lemina is willing to leave Juve in search of more consistent playing time after making just 29 appearances across all competitions last season, and it seems that the Old Lady is keen to sell.

story trackerThe midfielder, who Arsenal could sign as a Francis Coquelin replacement, recently spoke about how ‘flattered’ he was by the Gunners’ (and Watford’s) apparent interest.

“I am flattered by the interest of Arsenal and Watford. I am playing for a big club now but I am happy about the interest of other clubs,” he told French outlet, Foot Mercato [via Evening Standard].

“I do not have a preference for any league. My future depends on who really wants me.”
