Arsene Wenger has confirmed the latest team news going into Arsenal’s final game of the season against Chelsea in the FA Cup final.

Wenger confirmed that Gabriel is set to miss six-to-eight weeks after having to be stretchered off against Everton on Sunday.

Fortunately, the defender avoids surgery.

“We had a scare about his cruciate,” Wenger admitted, “but it’s medial.”

Shkodran Mustafi, who missed the 3-1 win over the Toffees at the weekend, is still ill and hasn’t trained. Therefore, he’ll miss the final on Saturday.

That’s three centre-backs out for the clash as Laurent Koscielny also misses out through suspension.

Meanwhile, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has returned to training after picking up a hamstring problem a couple of weeks ago. He’s therefore “in contention” to play against Chelsea.

And, in what’s probably completely unsurprising news, Alexis Sanchez, who appeared to be clutching his hamstring against Everton and was quickly subbed off, is apparently fine. Although he does face further tests ahead of the clash.
