This season has been Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s best thus far for Arsenal and praise from Aaron Ramsey proves his hard work hasn’t gone unnoticed despite a frustrating season for everyone involved.

With six goals and eleven assists created across all competitions this term, The Ox has impressed wherever he has played. Whether that be in an unfamiliar role at right-back, a wing-back further forward, in central midfield or across either flank, he has shown dogged determination to help the team in a range of different situations.

His tireless work-rate and infectious attitude, as well as the abilities he possesses, helps him stand out from the normal footballer. Ramsey, 26, has stressed he is confident that Alex will continue to get “better and better” with experience.

Chambo has had a good season, it’s been his best scoring-wise, and he’s played in a few positions,” the Welshman stated.

Chambo is a big threat going forward, he’s very explosive and quick off the mark, he can go past players with ease and his final ball in has been very good – he’s had quite a few assists this year.

He seems to have really kicked on this year, so he’s only going to get better and better.

Having admitted he would consider his future this summer if he wasn’t happy with playing time, Alex has shown exactly why his performances this season warrant a lucrative contract extension to ward off potential suitors.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with a £25m move and after the year he has had, it’d be naive for Arsenal to even contemplate selling the 23-year-old who is also Arsenal’s only representative in Gareth Southgate’s squad for June’s international friendlies.
