PSG have not forgotten Sánchez, the headline reads.

A French report on Tuesday has said that the Ligue 1 giants are interested in making a move for the Chilean this summer, just like a number of rumoured suitors across Europe.

In order to match their competitors though, Paris Saint-Germain are prepared to make a big offer to persuade Arsenal into completing business.

Alexis himself has said that he’ll decide his future at the end of the campaign, but whether he signs a contract extension or not could depend on Champions League qualification.

I don’t think it has been a very good season for me because I came here to win trophies, to be competing in the Champions League and to win the Premier League. I feel disappointed that we aren’t in a position to [win both],” he said

Wenger has constantly said he feels Sánchez is keen to stay beyond his current contract, with negotiations the only real barrier stopping this from occurring.

PSG have struggled to silence their critics in recent seasons and signing someone of Alexis’ world-class calibre could prove to be the missing link as they aspire to win the Champions League in the not-too-distant future.

Real Madrid creative midfielder Isco has also been linked with a move to Unai Emery’s side and the fact that they are not one of Arsenal’s direct rivals gives them confidence that they could complete a deal.

The only other top side outside of England who are heavily interested is Bayern Munich, so it could be a tug-of-war between the two of them in attempts to lure Sanchez away from the Premier League with the French press believing that Alexis prefers a move to Germany.
