With both managers mounting a challenge for a Champions League spot for the next season, this will be one of the most important fixtures in the coming weeks.

Manchester United come to the Emirates after a difficult set of fixtures and fatigue will play a major part in Jose Mourinho’s team selection. Arsenal on the other hand had it a bit easier with fewer games played but they are still fighting hard for a Champions League place. Well, fighting. Or something.

It should be a hard game for both sides with few goals as both managers will try to avoid conceding first which would put them under a lot of pressure.

Manchester United have only one player that is guaranteed a place in the first eleven and it’s David de Gea. The Spaniard is the top pick at Old Trafford and only an injury would see him miss this game.

In the back four, with Luke Shaw injured, Mateo Darmian should play as a left back with Antonio Valencia at the right side.

With Smalling and Jones returning, it’s tough to pick central defensive duo, but Eric Bailly should pair up with either Daley Blind or Chris Smalling.

Ander Herera is most likely to start in the midfield next to Michael Carrick and there are no more questions regarding this duo as they are both standard first team choice for Mourinho.

Going onto the forwards…

Paul Pogba is back from injury and will probably be the first choice as an attacking midfielder, with Anthony Martial as a left winger and Henrikh Mkhitaryan on the right wing. Providing enough penetration and creativity while going forward.

There are plenty of options for Mourinho with players returning after injuries and it’s a welcome boost for Manchester United. Juan Mata and Wayne Rooney are also contenders to feature in the starting line-up. Both would likely be on the bench but for Rashford’s latest knock as they have lost match form and rhythm. They are more likely to be used only as a substitutes…but needs must.

My predicted Manchester United line-up:

De Gea

Valencia     Bailly   Smalling   Darmian

Herera     Carrick

Mkhitaryan         Pogba               Martial

Rooney
