Arsene Wenger will opt to play David Ospina over Petr Cech in the FA Cup final because the latter has picked up an injury, albeit just a ‘knock’ and will be on the bench with the Guardian reporting Cech has been dropped in favour of the Colombian.

When news started to break on Friday evening that Wenger would opt to play his cup keeper in the cup, despite him angling for a move away and having been injured lately, people couldn’t quite understand what was going on.

At first, news of an injury to Cech seemed to make things seem a lot clearer but according to the Guardian, Cech, who had been in line to start, is devastated by the decision to drop him.

David Hynter also writes,  “It was thought that he suffered a slight knock in training but he is now ready to take his place on the bench.”

As I thought when I did my predicted lineup, Wenger will as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to play at left wing-back ahead of Kieran Gibbs with Hector Bellerin on the other flank.
