According to Henry Winter from the Times, David Ospina is on a plane to Fenerbahce in order to agree a permanent deal.

Speaking to talkSPORT yesterday (Monday), Winter claimed that Ospina is set to sign for Turkish club Fenerbahce and, in fact, should be on his way there today (Tuesday).

“The fact is that Ospina’s leaving for Fenerbahce,” he revealed.

“He’s on a fast plane to Istanbul tomorrow, probably, so I find it very strange [that he started the FA Cup final].

“Petr Cech has been, along with Alexis Sanchez, Arsenal’s best player this season.”

Ospina revealed earlier in the mouth that he’d informed Arsenal that he was leaving in search of regular playing time amid heavy links with Fenerbahce. But after Arsene Wenger named him in the Gunners’ starting XI against Chelsea in the FA Cup final at the weekend, the Colombian didn’t seem so sure.

However, the reported four-year deal is still said to be on the cards.

With Arsenal still appearing to be selling Ospina, this leaves room for Wojciech Szczesny, who is set to return to north London after two years on loan at Roma.
