Arsenal forward Lucas Perez is reportedly set to leave the side this summer after manager Arsene Wenger extended his deal to stay at the Emirates.

  • Lucas scored seven goals and assisted five in 21 games
  • Forward has been linked with moves Espanyol, Betis, Sevilla and Fenerbahce
  • Agent says Lucas will look to leave this summer as Wenger won’t play him

Lucas has been linked with a move away from Arsenal after having moved to North London from Deportivo less than a year ago.

The forward has struggled for game time, playing just 948 minutes over all competitions, while also battling injuries, spending a total of 16 games sidelined.

Speaking on a radio show in Coruña ahead of the announcement of Wenger’s new two-year deal, the 28-year-old’s agent, Rodrigo Fernandez Lovelle, said that if the Frenchman stays he’s unlikely to get game time under the manager, and they will have to look at leaving this summer as a result.

“If everything is still the same and the coach is the same, in theory the opportunities are going to be the same, few, and our idea is to leave. We know that Arsenal is the ‘owner’ of the player, and that contract says that its duration is three more seasons.” he’s quoted as saying.
