Thierry Henry has predicted that Arsenal’s FA Cup final clash against Chelsea could be Alexis Sanchez’s last game for the Gunners.

  • Sanchez set to make decision over Arsenal future over summer
  • Mesut Ozil also out of contract in June 2018
  • Henry believes Sanchez will leave without Champions League football

With Sanchez’s Arsenal contract running out in June 2018, all eyes are on the Chilean this summer, with clubs like Chelsea, Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, PSG and Manchester City all said to be ready to swoop in with their respective offers if the player chooses to leave.

Arsenal legend, Henry, believes this will be the case.

“I hope that he’s going to stay but he wants to be in the Champions League, he wants to be in a club that is competing at least and it hasn’t happened recently [at Arsenal],” Henry told Sky Sports.

“I’m talking about in the Champions League and Premier League because he won the FA Cup already with Arsenal.

“Who knows what’s going to happen with him? Is he going to listen to other teams that are going to come and get him?”

While it’s still unclear whether the 28-year-old will choose to leave this summer, enter into the final year of his contract, or leave the decision up to the club, it’s likely that Sanchez will leave this summer.

Without the prospect of Champions League football next season, Arsenal’s pulling power has decreased somewhat.

If Arsene Wenger’s side also lose the FA Cup final against Chelsea, Gooners could see more than one star head for the exit.
