We previously mentioned how the FA erased  Arsenal Ladies and Birmingham City Ladies from history by claiming Manchester City were the first FA WSL team to reach the Champions League semi-finals – and they’ve done it again with the FA Cup final.

As noted by the famous Women’s football ultra Dion Farnes, the FA women’s football account managed to mess up again:

Chelsea Ladies beat Yeovil by six goals to nil in a game marred by horrible refereeing from Mr Fissenden.

He was so lenient that the poor Yeovil goalkeeper got repeatedly hit during the game and ended up injured resulting in an outfield player taking her place in goal.

The FA promoting Chelsea Ladies to the final instead of Birmingham City Ladie,s who beat them in a penalty shootout, is just another unbelievable blooper by them.

Another example is the Spring Series, with 90 games played between WSL 1&2 and 18 of them have been cancelled or postponed.

Such a mess would never be allowed in the Premier League.

But the FA WSL scheduling has been rubbish since its inception in 2011 and you do wonder how they will cope once they come back for the new winter season.
