Arsenal, along with Chelsea, have been scouting young Polish striker, Dawid Kownacki according to recent reports.

  • Young Lech Poznan striker is being dubbed by media as next Robert Lewandowski
  • 20-year-old has helped his side challenge for title second season in a row, and is starting to attract major interest from the biggest clubs in Europe
  • Chelsea and Arsenal are particularly interested and are reported to be scouting the youngster, with Leicester City also considered to be among interested parties

Kownacki has played 29 games for Lech Poznan this season and has scored 12 goals in all competitions. He’s also assisted his teammates on two occasions.

Kownacki recently admitted that he’s struggling with the high expectations and that only recently has he started to find way of coping with them – hardly a promising sign ahead of a possible Premier League move.

As Robert Lewandowski also played for Lech Poznan and built his reputation there before moving to Borussia Dortmund, it’s obvious why the media are comparing the young Kownacki with him.

Kownacki has made a total of 108 appearances in his career for Lech Poznan and scored 27 goals. He certainly has the talent and could become a very good forward, but with all the expectations surrounding him, it could be tough for him to reach his full potential.

With the media constantly seeking new Lewandowskis, Messis and Ronaldos, it’s becoming mentally tough for young players to live up to their expectations as the pressure grows with every game.
