Brazilian right-back Danilo looks set to leave Real Madrid this summer as a result of a disappointing season with Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain linked with his signature.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has been keen on the defender this season, affording the 25-year-old just 17 La Liga appearances, and Danilo looks on his way out as a result. He’s believed to have a number of clubs interested.

According to the Daily Star, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain are competiting for the right-back. The Gunners are weighing up replacements for Hector Bellerin, who is a target for Barcelona and may be tempted to his former club as a result of Arsenal missing out on Champions League football.

Despite the lack of playing time, Danilo may not be allowed to leave Santiago Bernabeu until the current first team right-back Dani Carvajal signs a new contract. The latter is reportedly holding out for a more lucrative deal and Real Madrid are keen Danilo at the club until Carvajal future is hashed out.

Nevertheless, Danilo is expected to be up for sale as he’s been all but frozen out of the season and will be keen on more playing time next season. Arsenal will be interested if they lose Bellerin this summer, but may not be making an official approach for some time.
